Oxford Houses are self-run, self-supported homes for individuals recovering from alcohol and drug addiction. The Oxford House Program provides individuals with a substance-free living environment entirely supported by the members of the home. Financial responsibilities are handled by the residents in each house, making a cooperative measure necessary for the success of the residents. Home tasks and activities are led by an officer of each house; officers are elected by other residents of the home and serve a six-month term before another election is held. Relapse is a large concern within the Oxford House system and is taken very seriously. If at any point the majority of the residents feel as if officers or other residents have relapsed, they will be expelled from the residence. Victory Gospel Spiritual Growth Center

Victory Gospel Spiritual Growth Center provides transitional housing for men and women who do not have sex offenses and who are not on electronic monitors. The initial program lasts three to six months; following that, residents enter a work-release ministry where they share rent with several other individuals before living on their own.

The long term goal of this problem-solving court is the restoration of the veteran's quality of life and the reduction of conflicts that might lead to additional incarceration events. This goal will be accomplished by providing the veteran with the treatment and supportive services.The Veterans Treatment Court has a case management component that promotes service coordination and easier access to services such as employment, education, housing, and benefits counseling. The Bexar County Veterans Treatment Court is the first in the County to have a pre-trial diversion component.

Methadone maintenance for treatment of Opiate addiction. Texas Treatment Services treats dependence to opiate based prescription drugs (Hydrocodone, OxyContin, Percodan) as well as addiction to heroin. Along with medication management, patients are assigned a counselor to help with support during treatment. Methadone is not a cure for addiction, and it is used as part of a recovery program that includes counseling, support groups and case management services.
