Andrews County Health Department provides many services including immunizations, well child exams, family planning, STD and HIV testing and preventative care for those who are eligible. There may be a co-payment for services rendered. The amount depends on your eligibility determination. There is an administration fee of $5.00 for immunization. Family Planning services will be determined by a sliding scale fee. A co-payment is required on medications. Funding for these programs are limited. Therefore, fees and benefits are subject to change

This program provides basic medical services to individuals in this hospital district who cannot receive health care coverage from any other source and who are eligible for the program. Eligibility is based on income and resources.

Provides community mental health services. Use the main phone number to contact an office for an appointment or to ask for more information about eligibility and programs. The toll free Crisis Hotline is 1-800-375-4357. This crisis number is for people facing an emergency situation, such as having a homicidal or suicidal thoughts. If your call is an emergency, a crisis team may be sent out to help manage your situation. If necessary, emergency services may also be contacted to respond to your crisis.

A local literacy council that provides free adult basic education, English as a Second Language and GED Preparation.

Services offered at the center include GED one-on-one tutoring and exam preparation for those 16 years and older, basic high school level tutoring, financial assistance towards the GED exam if students are unable to pay, basic literacy tools for those under a fifth grade reading level and a leadership program that prepares and trains one for community leadership, promotes self-sufficiency, life skills, college preparedness and workforce skills. The Odessa College Adult Basic Education Program provides instruction in basic reading, writing, math and life coping skills for adults below a ninth grade education level. Instruction is individualized to allow students to work at their own level. Computer assisted instruction and academic counseling are available. Students also have access to the Internet. Upon successful completion of the curriculum the students are ready for the GED preparation classes.

Goodwill West Texas helps people with barriers to employment find meaningful work. Their employment specialists will do their best to put you to work in one of their locations, or help you find employment in the area. Goodwill West Texas also provides Work Adjustment Training. By working one on one with a mentor, this training program helps individuals build the foundation needed to find and maintain employment in the community.

Andrews Downtown Lions provides eye examinations, and eye glasses for the needy.

A food pantry that assists people who need food and meet the income eligibility guidelines. Hours: Wed 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm; Thurs. 11:00 am - 1:00 pm

The SNAP food benefit (formerly known as Food Stamps) helps people with low incomes and resources buy the food they need for good health. Medicaid Programs provide medical benefits for eligible low income adults, children, and families. CHIP offers a health insurance program for children. Anyone convicted of a drug-related felony (possession, use or distribution of a controlled substance) after August 22, 1996, is not eligible for SNAP (Food Stamps) benefits.Hours: M-F, 8 am to 5 pm.

The Center is a not-for-profit chemical dependency treatment and counseling facility. It is a comprehensive treatment facility in the Midland area for self-pay clients; those with insurance and offers a sliding scale fee for all others.
