This program provides basic medical services to residents of this county who cannot receive health care coverage from any other source and who are eligible for the program. Eligibility is based on income and resources. Cameron County contracted with Valley Baptist Medical Center in August of 2007 to provide Indigent Health Care Services for the Cameron County residents that are under the 21% federal poverty level.

Services Offered: Birth Control, General Health Care, HIV Testing, LGBT Services, Men's Health Care, Morning-After Pill (Emergency Contraception), Pregnancy Testing & Services, STD Testing, Treatment & Vaccines and Women's Health Care. Individuals convicted of a felony are considered for the program on a case by case basis.

They offer many services including constructing homes for low-income families, providing credit and homeownership counseling and helping them get down payment assistant. They can also assist with home rehabilitation, weatherization, disaster relief and home modifications (for people with disabilities). They are a HUD approved housing counseling agency.

This group includes Spanish speaking NA meetings in Austin, Brownsville, Dallas, Del Rio, El Paso, Houston, Laredo, Longview, Mansfield, Mackinney, San Antonio, Tyler, & Weslaco.The meetings are free and anyone may join.
