If your call is an emergency, a crisis team may be sent out to help manage your situation. The Veteran Services Officer acts as an advocate and assists veterans and/or their survivors obtain entitled benefits from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the State of Texas.

The SNAP food benefits (formerly known as Food Stamps) helps people with low incomes and resources buy the food they need for good health. Medicaid Programs provide medical benefits for eligible low income adults, children, and families. CHIP offers a health insurance program for children. Alcoholics Anonymous

Narcotics Anonymous (NA) is a not for profit fellowship or society of men and women for whom drugs had become a major problem. They are recovering addicts who meet regularly to help each other stay clean. The desire to stop using is the only requirement for membership. The meetings are free and anyone may join. The Southeast Texas Area of Narcotics Anonymous serves South East Texas including Anahuac, Beaumont, Buna, Jasper, Port Arthur, Orange, Nederland, Vidor and all surrounding areas.

Boca Recovery Center is a Substance Use Disorder program providing medical and clinical treatment of drug and alcohol addiction, as well as co-occurring mental health issues. They have created a guide for LGBTQ+ people experiencing substance use disorder.
