Community Health Services

Franklin County Indigent Health Program

This program provides basic medical services to residents of this county who cannot receive health care coverage from any other source and who are eligible for the program. Eligibility is based on income and resources.

Provides community mental health services. Use the main phone number to contact an office for an appointment or to ask for more information about eligibility and programs. The 24-hour toll free Crisis Hotline is 877-466-0660. This crisis number is for people facing an emergency situation, such as having a homicidal or suicidal thoughts. If your call is an emergency, a crisis team may be sent out to help manage your situation. If necessary, emergency services may also be contacted to respond to your crisis.

VA North Texas Health Care System - Greenville Community Based Outpatient Clinic

VA North Texas Health Care System has a Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC) program to provide health maintenance and preventive health care within 30 miles or 30 minutes of a Veteran's home. Greenville CBOC serves the following counties: Kaufman, Hunt, Rockwall, Titus, Franklin and Hopkins.

This organization provides food to more than 200 partner agencies, in an effort to feed children, the working poor and seniors throughout 26 counties in East Texas. The SNAP food benefits (formerly known as Food Stamps) help people with low incomes and resources buy the food they need for good health. Medicaid Programs provide medical benefits for eligible low income adults, children, and families. CHIP offers a health insurance program for children.
